Meet Angie and Hope
The Journey to Finding Hope
Angie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides therapeutic counseling for adults, children, youth and families with expertise in treating trauma, grief, and anxiety. Her wholistic approach that incorporates body, mind, and heart helps people find peace amidst the chaos and pain that can sometimes arise in life.
Angie started Finding Hope Institute because in her work as a therapist, and through personal experiences, she has come to see the importance of looking beyond behaviors and symptoms that are creating barriers to daily functioning and connection with others. Taking a closer look at the experiences we have lived through and the stories from family history to gain insight into present struggles.
Angie has a passion for helping individuals and families gain insight into their past and identify current experiences that are causing chronic stress and anxiety. Her personal journey enriches her clinical approach in offering hope and insight that promotes self-awareness and change.
Hope is Angie's Australian Shepherd who is currently a therapy dog in training. Hope is learning how to offer support and comfort in a therapeutic setting. Dogs have an innate ability to sense distress and anxiety, as well as a sense of peace and calm. Honing these natural traits will allow Hope to have a significant role in the healing process for clients who are interested in working with him in tandem with Angie.
